Under the direction of the NEOnet Executive Director, the Technology Integration Specialist is to provide technology integration support for schools for instructional and administrative purposes, including a wide variety of resources, activities, services, and professional development. Promote the use of technologies to support instruction and assessment in the classroom and develop and offer instructional technology education for teachers and administrative staff at the educational entities associated with NEOnet. This job has a FLSA status of Exempt.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Planning, implementation, deployment and or management of technologyintegration initiatives.
2.Assist districts in Chromebook/Laptop deployment, management and 1-1initiatives.
3.Visit various school districts around Northeast Ohio to deliver technologyintegration professional development.
4.Host webinars and develop e-learning material
5.Deployment and/or Management of Google Apps for Education.
6.Google Apps for Education Administration and Support.
7.Support and training of Office 365 components and administration.
8.Professional development experience in implementing blended, flipped or distancelearning through the integration of technology.
9.Create learning resources for teachers, staff and students including web sites,tutorials, and instructional videos that support teachers in instructionaltechnology.
10. Facilitate professional development related to instructional technology.
11. Assist teachers in the development of inquiry based projects promoting the use ofWeb-based resources, computer simulation activities, digital probes and other Web2.0 tools.
12. Assist teachers in the selection of the best software, technology or interactive toolto achieve specific education goals.
13. Participate in instructional technology collaboration opportunities.
14. Train classroom teachers in the integration of technology hardware and softwareinto lesson plans.
15. 1-on-1 Technology Integration Coaching.
16. Works in a recognized field of learning
17. Employee's primary duty requires advanced knowledge acquired by a prolongedcourse of specialized intellectual instruction.
18. Employee's primary duty is work that is predominantly intellectual and includesconsistent exercise of discretion and judgment in applying advanced knowledge.
19. The employee is to possesses an appropriate academic degree as evidence of theprolonged course of specialized academic instruction.
20. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Google Certified Educator Levels 1 & 2, Certified Trainer preferred
2. Google Classroom experience
3. Experience with Microsoft Office 365 applications
4. Experience with Windows 10/11, MacOS, ChromeOS, and iPadOS
5. Ability to mentor new users of various technologies with patience and support
6. Strong background in hardware, software, internet resources for education use
7. Knowledge of ProgressBook Suite student information systems and on-line gradebook programs.
8. Ability to work cooperatively and harmoniously with many individuals of varying backgrounds and to handle information professionally and confidentially.
9. Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing, work effectively with others and have effective, and active listening skills.
10. Ability to present in a professional manner in front of large groups of people
11. Strong organizational skills to keep track of priorities and responsibilities
12. Legitimate interest in educational technology
13. Basic understanding of student data privacy best practices, COPPA, FERPA, and CIPA laws
14. Ability to work cooperatively and harmoniously with many individuals of varying backgrounds and to handle information professionally and confidentially.
15. Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing, work effectively with others and have effective, and active listening skills.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in education preferred.
2. Masters in Instructional Technology desired.
3. Previous experience with blended or on-line learning preferred
4. Professional certification in related areas.

3. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms, talk, or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, taste and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee may occasionally be expected to move and/or lift 100 pounds or move but may obtain assistance or use equipment and carts to facilitate these tasks. Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. 4. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving, mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud.

 

The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the Council.
