Under the direction of the NEOnet Executive Director, the Receptionist is responsible for greeting and welcoming visitors and providing general office support in a variety of tasks. This job has a FLSA status of Non-Exempt.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcomes all visitors by greeting, directing and announcing them appropriately.
- Maintains security of the facility by following procedures and controlling access to the building.
- Manages meeting room requests and setup.
- Updates appointment calendars and schedules meetings/appointments as needed.
- Updates digital signage with daily events and schedules.
- Enters office documents into document management system.
- Takes and receives messages for Executive Director.
- Coordinates meetings and organizes catering when appropriate.
- Assists with clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating.
- Makes regular deposits at the bank for the council.
- Monitors and maintains office equipment.
- Orders office supplies and maintains supply inventory.
- Prepares and coordinates all equipment returns and shipments.
- Receives, sorts and forwards incoming mail.
- Performs administrative duties including, but not limited to word processing, data
entry and report generation.
- Assists Administration team with projects upon request.
- Updates website as needed.
- Maintains agency contact database.
- Assists with agency quarterly newsletter.
- Monitors facility appearance and notifies Business Manager of any issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the NEOnet Executive Director.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Bookkeeping skills/experience.
- Demonstrated competence in the use of computer equipment.
- Working knowledge of basic and advanced office procedures and the operation of office equipment and machines.
- Evidence of communication skills and organizational skills.
- Must be accurate, efficient and capable of handling detailed work assignments.
- Ability to work cooperatively and harmoniously with many individuals of varying backgrounds and to handle information professionally and confidentially.
- Ability to organize tasks into a logical and purposeful sequence. Provide problem-solving initiative, cultivate resources available from other OECN sites, the Ohio Department of Education, and associated commercial vendors.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Work, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to use software tools to perform needed tasks.
- Experience with the USPS and USAS financial software packages and related components.

- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms, talk, or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, taste and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee may occasionally be expected to move and/or lift 100 pounds or move but may obtain assistance or use equipment and carts to facilitate these tasks. Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving, mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud.
