Under the direction of the NEOnet Executive Director, the Systems Support Liaison is responsible for installation, maintenance and upgrades of specific core NEOnet systems and administration of delivered services to educational entities associated with NEOnet. This job has a FLSA status of Non-Exempt.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and enhance an understanding of server and desktop hardware provisioning and deployment.
- Assist in the installation, administration, design, and maintenance of server virtualization platforms.
- Assist in installation, administration, design, and maintenance of server and desktop operating systems including but not limited to Windows Server 2008 and newer, Windows 7 and newer, and Linux.
- Assist in maintenance of existing multi-tenant Active Directory environment
- Provides detection and solution to software inquiries and effective means of troubleshooting user questions, concerns, and needs.
- Monitoring and support of centralized storage.
- Assist in installing, configuring and administering new hardware and software solutions as required.
- Provide installation, administration, documentation, and end user support on centrally hosted applications, including but not limited to email, archiving, backup, email filtering, web filtering, file and print services, and document management.
- Assist in maintenance and oversee the day-to-day operation of the NEOnet training labs including but not limited to hardware, operating system and software administration, updates and configuration.
- Provide desktop support for internal staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the NEOnet Executive Director.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft file, print solutions, Active Directory, and group policy management.
- Knowledge of but not limited to, Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange.
- Ability to read and understand software documentation.
- Ability to work cooperatively and harmoniously with many individuals of varying backgrounds and to handle information professionally and confidentially.
- Ability to organize tasks into a logical and purposeful sequence.
- Provide problem-solving initiative, cultivate resources available from other OECN sites, the Ohio Department of Education, and associated commercial vendors.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of two-year degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Microsoft PowerShell and batch scripting
- Knowledge of operating system preparation (sysprep) and deployment best practices
- Knowledge of System Center Configuration Manager 2012R2 (or newer) OS deployment, application deployment, and administration.

- Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving, mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud.
